Configuring java for absolute Beginners

From this post I hope to explain how to install and Configure JAVA for absolute beginners.......:)

First of all you must install JDK (Java Development Kit ) in ur computer in order to develop and run java applications. It can be downloaded by Oracle website

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-7u4-downloads-1591156.html

after installing JDK, it's easy if we add the path of the java compiler to the system variables so we can directly use the java complier in the command prompt, without mentioning a path...:)

For that go to the directory of the java bin folder, usually it is located in the "jdk" folder which is in the JAVA folder of ur program files.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0\bin

 Then go to
control panel  -> System -> Advance System settings.

from there click "environment Variables" Button .
From there click on path from the list under "system variables" and click edit

From the edit system varible dialog box, in the text filed "Variable value" add a semicolon at the end of the existing line and paste the  path of the java bin folder which was mentioned above

Then click ok -> ok  and again OK ...:)

Now let's check whether we have done it correctly. Go to the run dialog box (windows key+R). and type "cmd" and click ok to get the command prompt. From there type "javac" and press enter. If everything is fine, u must get a screen like this.

I hope you have understood my explanation.....:)
